Whole lotta’ singing going on.
I’ve been singing a lot. Keri’s been singing a lot. We have a choir going.
Singing lead and a harmony is very different than attempting full-on church-like choir.

The good part about church, any church.
This is fun for me and Keri. I grew up singing in church. It’s the only thing I miss about church, all the harmonies. My mother sang well. I have fond memories of singing with her. Mostly listening.
Singing gets me fired up, in more ways than one!
The last few days we have been doing choir tacks. We noticed we got excited about music. Singing like this feels a lot like exercise. We’re getting exercise-like benefits from it. I set up a choir station in dining room. It works well. For some reason, that Myrtle mic sounds great in the dining room.
Choir singing, mixing, breathing, recording, and lots of other stuff improves with practice. FYI.
I love improving things or learning new things. Recording choir has been very difficult before. But I’ve found templates and perseverance pay off. I’ve found great ways to record different kinds of vocals. I’ve found mixing techniques that help. I’m into this choir thing.
Yesterday I spent time on two songs from all over the world. I enjoyed it. I enjoy how it sounds. Happy to do that, if you need. Email: [email protected]
Enjoying school over here.
We’re taking our time to learn and collect new skills before tracking the album we’re making. We want choir. We want good mixing. We want nice and quiet, away from mic a little on vocals. Clear, articulate, but not so slammed and in your ear, in your brain. We want a little further back . That’s handy to know for the choir stuff. That’s why a mic is set up in dining room you can stand back from.

One or two, or even 3 singers, no big deal.. But a dozen or so is different.
Lead and harmony is different. I can track a lead on a dynamic in the music room, no problem. But doing choir like that makes noise. I can squelch a lot of it. But I’d rather not record it to begin with. When the Myrtle in the dining room is right there, have to try it out. Worked. Hardly any noise.
Laying out all those vocal tracks to begin with can be daunting.
What some folks struggle on is arrangement. Choral arrangement can be tricky. It often happens that it doesn’t sound in real life the way it does in my head. In other arranging this doesn’t happen often at all. Every day in choir.

I get tired, a lot. (But it’s helping me in my situation immensely.)
Stamina is an issue. I’m better than I was, but not in shape for a concert yet. This means I can’t really dilly-dally. I’ll run out of gas. A plan helps so I’m just not singing forever and getting worn out with the red button off. I want to save my energy for the tape.
We like doing this. We find it makes our own music better, and we make friends sometimes.
We enjoy the choir parts. We are learning a lot. The album will be rad, although still a ways off. If you’d like to try us out for choir on your music, let us try it! You’re under no obligation if you don’t like it. We love singing or playing on other musicians’ stuff. We think it’s fun. Email: [email protected]
I enjoy talking to people from everywhere. It doesn’t always work out, but most times it does. I understand that. No biggie.

I have a lot in the tank for fellow indies.
I feel like I have more to offer fellow musicians somedays than I do “them.” I’m not bothered by this. I like the work, either way. I get to do stuff I like and feel good at? Sign me up.
Nothing to lose!
Give us an email if you’re hearing choir. We’ll make it painless, even if you don’t choose us in the final. Thanks.🙏
