Not my thing right now.
I was asked by a nice friend where the comments section is. I am just not into comments right now.
Talking? Yes. Email? Yes. But public performative typing that turns to arguing or insulting? Not into it yet. Maybe someday.

I am hoping to help along thought and conversation. (Even if it is with someone you already know, not me.)
I’m not convinced comments, forums, social media are good. So I’m not using them. I prefer an email and a “private” one-on-one conversation. I don’t need witnesses, high-fives, pats on the back, laughs, or any other treat from a witty comment. What I need is a back and forth.
Back and forth on public comments are boring or like Springer. I’d rather they be “normal.” No performances. Just thoughts. Communication, not entertainment.

Nothing is forever.
I may introduce comments someday, but not today. I can perform anytime. But just talking? It’s hard to facilitate.
Social media is random, everyone talking at once, kind of a cluster. Has a crowded hallway between classes feel. Not my vibe anymore.
No sign ups, no passwords, no captchas… I don’t need that stuff just to type what I am thinking about in the mornings.
Since I own it, I’ll try to make it like I like. I worry about socials and privacy invasions, the government harvesting data to hunt folks down. I talked to someone who knows, ICE is getting data from socials. An agent called a cellphone a “self-deportation device.” I’d feel awful if I contributed to that. So I don’t. Or, probably more realistically, I try not to.
I feel like everyone should consider taking control of their lives and their information. Why hand it over to the enemy of free people and art? Even if you’re not feeling militant, maybe you’re feeling helpless. Your information fuels the oppression. Taking charge of it helps. Can verify. It’s not perfect yet, but it’s a lot better with the site. One of the reasons is no comments. The other is a lot less time involved. I’m not always looking at it. Set it and forget it. haha.
If you read something and want to yap about it, email.
I hope you still enjoy reading and email. If you enjoy music too? Bonus! I do not offer a social media type experience. I don’t like it anymore. At least today.
