First off, what is gaslighting?
I’ve been reading this morning about gaslighting because I suspect it often and wanted to brush up on what it is.
Basically, according to the Cleveland Clinic, gaslighting is happening all the time. It’s when someone makes you question reality to get one over on ya’.
When folks want you to do something or believe something, they might gaslight you with recent history which is confusing. It can make one unsure of themselves.
Religion is all the way lit in most places I’ve been to. Ridiculous claims not found in texts, but believers’ imaginations or biases are ubiquitous.

The trump regime and gaslighting.
This Trump regime needs you to believe in a world that never existed to justify their legislation. They are concerned with control and profit. They are not concerned with ethical ways of acquiring it.
Gaslighting is a relatively new term from a movie in the 40’s. It’s been used a lot. It’s said to have been used too much. However, it is the word when talking about large quantities of the Trump regime’s whole operation. If you find yourself questioning facts, reality, or history when listening to Trump or one of his lackeys, you’re being lit up. With me? That’s every single day. No exaggeration. So no, “gaslit” is not being used too much because I had to write this.

Discover your truths, (for yourself).
Facts you know and discover for yourself are assets. Don’t let idiots in power rob you of them. Use them to fight fiction coming from the Whitehouse, media, pulpits, and ads. Pundits have agendas and most of the time, it isn’t the truth. Yep, gaslighting too.
Sound the alarm!
If someone confronts you with an alternate reality or history that you’re supposed to believe, I’d sound the alarm. Be a shame if anyone believed them. But.. they totally do. At least they say they do, to gaslight you. Your main job is to make it impossible for anyone to believe them at that point. They work for the enemy. Can’t be trusted.

It’s like recess.
See, peer pressure like in school has a lot to do with successful gaslighting. Bullies can say crazy shit. If sycophants go along with them, you’re left all alone with the truth. It sucks. It’s how they operate.
If you didn’t have many friends growing up, you’re acclimated to calling out gaslighting until the cows come home. And I’d fucking do it. Pick any topic. Here’s just a few examples. There may be an infinite number of them at this point. Good luck.

About the environment:
I know the environment as a topic in general deserves clarity and truth. As far as I can tell, science is being hammered with awful lies and legislation. We don’t have very long left to begin with here on earth. I don’t understand speeding up our demise. But I’m not asking a MAGA about it either. Too much gaslighting about environmental issues. That’s just one topic.

Healthcare:
Vaccines work mmkay? Prove to me they don’t and I’ll gladly take down this post. RFKJR has been crazy a long time. Not just now. Utterly bizarre to think he’s got his hands on healthcare. But then, I’m a bipolar and my eyes have been on him a while. He’s a nutcase, much like the ones he wants to force to work on farms without meds because they are sending away all the Mexicans. Both him and Trump have super obvious fears. They clutch power to avoid being exposed for the dipshits they are. Everything they do is designed to divert you from the fact they’re losers.

Immigration:
On the Statue of Liberty there’s a plaque that says,
“Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips..
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
At one time, both folks abroad and here in the U.S. thought this place was relatively safe to come and try to eek out a life. Guess what? That’s actually our history. That’s actually who we are. The folks they’re deporting know this. I know this. I can read it on the Statue of Liberty.
What we are building now is not that. As someone who has been in every state except Alaska and Hawaii, I can tell you, we’ll be deprived without those good people. And that doesn’t even matter. It’s just right to let folks come here and start over. They deserve it. Believe it not, that’s how I was raised.
Return to home.
