Couple-band FTW!
Keri and I love making music. We write lyrics together. We talk about music all the time. Most musical ideas I come across bounce off of her before they do you. We’re tight. We like each other. I feel fortunate for a lot in this life. I mostly feel fortunate she likes me.
A playlist of our music (so far). It’s not every song, but about an hour of good ones. Don’t forget Boots on the Ground too. I also do Djembe Funk but that’s more of a solo thing.
Currently speaking.
At the moment, I am immersed in a conceptual record. Lots of Funk, lots of sci-fi. Keri will be appearing and helping lyrically. We talk about it a lot. I have been putting together sounds and moods for the kinds of words coming out. It’s a lot to keep me busy and that’s the main thing I like about it. So, we’re good.
Medical stuff as always.
I have been on the drug, Effexor, a long time. I have found myself with less and less use for it. I am quitting under supervision and I find that to be difficult. I have brain zaps, cramps, and headaches. My knees buckle at any given time. I get mad sometimes even though I don’t feel angry about anything. I am just mad and hyper. Fortunately I knew to expect all this so behavior hasn’t been an issue, just my brain.
Keri is so helpful during the med transitions. I just had to tell the world. She’s amazing.
Let’s talk about Keri’s lyrics a minute.
Keri’s contributions.
Keri is the best lyricist I have ever worked with. When we write together she asks these amazing questions that spawn whole verses for answers. She is very talented at making raw thoughts sound elegant in the meter. She keeps on point from the opening line to the last verse. She doesn’t use a ton of words. She opts to sync good words to the melody she is after. And when she sings the words she wrote, she’s easy to understand and sounds like a friend, to me. Keri is a good person in the world. You can hear that. I think that’s cool.

Keri Kintner
You got my digits.
I’ve been fortunate to produce lately. I hope to keep that up. I have played various instruments on various tracks all over the world for signed and unsigned artists right here from my home’s music room. I feel very lucky. I feel so lucky, in fact, if you could use a hand and you think I could help, ask me. See what happens. [email protected]
What’s next?
I like doing a lot of different projects. I can see me and Keri getting back to The Kintners soon. But it might look a little different for the next phase. I love the songwriting with Keri. I don’t expect that to stop, whatever the case.
return to home.
