That Kintner’s song, “Ramses.” It’s a Friday jam.

Ramses is a 70’s vibe to me. I got to play with fun stuff. Some of my favorite music people have parts in it. Happy Vibes for a Friday.

An online jam with friends.

I wanted to make funk rock fusion or whatever happened along those lines so I asked a couple of friends who are familiar to go nuts and then I got one of my favorite mixers ever to mix it all down. True story. I got the tape. Everyone was happy to participate and we got a great jamming song out of the deal. I wrote Ramses a long time ago. I have never had a recording of it I grooved with until this one. Felt great to hear it. Still does. I love the folks who helped us make it. I like thinking about them.

Personnel.

Kev Sharp over in Leicester It a terrific person to jam with online. I highly recommend. He will take care of the keyboard holes in your song no matter how big or small, and he doesn’t need much instructions. I am jealous of his skills and brain for arranging. Next is bkbirge on bass and drums. I have a picture in my head of bkbirge playing drums that I want to hold up to the real image someday. I see a headbob and everything. Curious to know how right I am. I’ve known him a while, but never met him. Great person. I really like talking to him about music. Important to me. I played guitars and sang. Keri did a vocal in back. And then we sent it off to Adam at Deluxe Mixing. I love when I can get him to mix. It’s more fun.

Ramses is on Soundcloud as well. I have a bandcamp and a soundcloud.

It’s Friday, that’s why.

I love celebrations and festivities. I think I feel that most on Fridays. This song is that to me. That cut loose and do want I want feeling is rock and roll, almost all of it.

About this collaboration,

This was a great crew to work with. Every one of these folks teaches me stuff. It feels like an honor when they work on a song. I love their sounds and their skills. Dream crew.

Certain segments of Ramses give me Egyptian vibes. I got that before song was built and it was played on acoustic guitar. It is fun for me.

I hope if you read this, you have a good weekend. Maybe you will get a chance to get your groove on. It doesn’t have to be our music. But for gawd sakes do not listen to Kid Rock. Get some fresh air, go on a diet, hell, start a blog! But his music is trash. He managed to sample a few songs together and rhymed “things” with “things” in a chorus…That’s just one song. So, have a good weekend and everything.

Ramses. Free to download on bandcamp.

I got plans on bass this weekend. Looking forward to providing some low end. Take care.
