Sycophancy, propaganda, and education.

I hate this prick. I think that’s the point with folks like him.

Coming to a school near you…

Just read Greg Abbott here in Texas wants Turning Point USA in Texas public schools. They will be teaching about politics and being white and whatever else they teach. Why is this okay? My money is on Trump.

Folks do not like Trump because he’s authoritarian, in my opinion. Folks are into him because he allows them to feel authoritarian in their personal lives. I know many folks whose whole personality and taste in decor have changed dramatically since Trump. He told them to be assholes, and they obliged.

I used to think it was about crazy.

If you think trump is nice, or good, I’d be willing to bet your screws are loose. But if trump gives you permission to do whatever you want and behave like a fool, I’d say you’re just a wannabe dictator. No loose screws, just an asshole.

When folks don’t call out asshole when they see it, the assholes get what’s called “phony legitimacy.” Magazines do it all the time when they compare Trump to Biden like my beloved Atlantic. Ugh.

(Definition – Phony Legitimacy)

Understanding Phony Legitimacy

Phony legitimacy refers to a perceived sense of authenticity or validation that is, in fact, disingenuous or misleading. This concept can manifest in various contexts, such as business practices, social media, politics, or personal relationships.

Key Aspects of Phony Legitimacy

  1. False Credentials: Utilizing fake qualifications or endorsements to gain trust or authority.
  2. Deceptive Marketing: Companies may present misleading information or inflated claims to appear more credible than they are.
  3. Social Proof Misuse: Using fabricated testimonials, reviews, or follower counts to create an illusion of popularity or quality.
  4. Political Manipulation: Politicians or organizations might employ misleading statistics or events to give a false impression of support or effectiveness.

Implications of Phony Legitimacy

  • Erosion of Trust: Once discovered, phony legitimacy can severely damage reputations and lead to skepticism.
  • Legal Repercussions: Misrepresentation can lead to legal challenges, including fraud allegations.
  • Consumer Impact: Individuals may make poor choices based on misleading representations, leading to financial or emotional harm.

Conclusion

Phony legitimacy can have significant ramifications across various domains, fostering distrust and potentially leading to negative consequences. It’s essential for individuals and organizations to strive for authenticity to build lasting, genuine relationships.

My beloved Atlantic giving trump props he has never earned.

I mean, what’s going on?

The title of this article, and any article about Trump should be, “Hey! Look at this asshole!” Anything less than that affirms folks believing Trump is actually a serious politician. He is not. It legitimizes Trump’s position. Even though this article isn’t kind, by comparing Trump to Biden, it gives the impression they’re comparing apples to apples, they ain’t.

Bullies do this when they usurp attention, power, dominance. They get sycophants that constantly reaffirm their superiority. Nazis did this with propaganda. They took over with an “election,” then shit went downhill. History doesn’t repeat itself like folks say all the time. Nazis didn’t have internet or billionaires. But the nature of the bully hasn’t changed. It’s still with us.

Can’t ignore them either!

I was picked on a bunch in high school. Trump is very much a trigger for me with memories of getting my ass handed to me by bullies. This also works to his favor. Folks like me would rather not deal with him. The bastards like that because it gives them shadows they can use to move around.

Bright light and focus on how just downright evil these assholes are is the only way to make them uncool. I’m holding out for it. What else am I going to do?

Jackasses take note.

If you are a jackass, and Trump is your guy, I hope you consider what that enables in you. It means you can be a jackass too. Woot! Trump doesn’t give you benefits, perks, good products, honest conversations, or even comfort and security. He gives permission to be a jackass. That’s really the only thing he’s capable of giving anyone.

I hope you realize, because you wanted permission to be a jackass, everyone on the whole planet suffers. That’s how politics really works. And it did. The jackasses came, saw, and conquered, like real estate developers. But government isn’t a business. And hiring jackasses to do government work and firing everyone else isn’t democracy, it’s sycophancy.

It’s about sycophancy. (So was slavery, FYI.)

It’s important to bring the “sycophant” word up in today’s entry because folks need a sycophant in AI these days. Trump has the real deal, he knows what people want. So AI makes folks think they’re hot shit and it talks all brown-nosing to fleshies. AI at its core is a model for being like Trump. Lazy, demanding, grandiose, out of touch. Help yourself. I’m not into it.

Maybe it’s time to consider less stimulation and more concentration. Hell, I don’t know. 🤷

Return to home

All I see is the djembe.

I’m Kelly and my phone says this was me about 2 years ago when I got my camera running. I like visiting with folks on Zoom sometimes. Hit me up, [email protected]. Maybe you want to talk about something in an entry. Maybe you’d like to discuss a project, or critique one of mine, or even join forces. I do email and zoom. Hope to hear from you! I like talking to folks one on one. They’re worth it.
