Jesus, folks.
It happened again. It happens several times a year, already happened in this one. Someone opened up to me about their walk with Jesus. Look folks, I’m not interested in that.
If only I was simply “not interested.”
If you must know, I don’t think religion is good. I don’t think it’s honest. I don’t think it is kind to victims. I don’t think it is “real.” I think it does more harm than good, always has. I’m very open about this. Why choose me to talk to about how Jesus is working for you? Do you have pictures, or something?
Am I the only atheist you know? Are you sure about that? Because it seems like you sure as shit don’t know me when you bring Jesus up.
Key point here, point of points.. haha.
I only have one rule on the site. No religion. Not tough. One fucking rule!
So .. posting another one of these to refresh and update, until it happens again.
You folks who think you can make people “believe” things are ridiculous, by the way. Even if you can do it.
I hate religion, all of it. Is that clear?
It’s happened I’ve known folks for years then they all the sudden go Jesus on me. New folks who don’t read previous entries seem to be in the dark. And I like clearing the air with honesty. I find church offensive. It hurts me to think about how much it has set us back as a species. If it wasn’t for Jesus, we might have healthcare. Who can say? But we don’t get it with him. Ugh.
Are we thinking this Jesus thing through?
Don’t talk to me about Jesus unless you’re saying “check out this clown.” Jesus doesn’t even work as a comic book character let alone a deity. It’s not my fault y’all haven’t thought it through. Also, he was certainly black, if he was at all. Don’t you think folks are being manipulated by church into thinking he was white? How fucked up is that!!??!?? Might have something to do with the current sitch in the U.S. if racist assholes think god is on their side. Just spitballing.
Let’s not forget…
Lastly, I am a victim of terrible abuse as a child. That’s not a victim card, that’s a fact. Church would have me forgive child rapists. Why? It’s to smooth things over and protect pedophiles. If they were concerned about victims, they’d be taking a whole lot of preachers to jail.
So, I don’t appreciate even prayers, or the thought of converting me. I do not appreciate dishonest pleasantries. And I do not want religion in my life or on my site. Only rule.
