It’s not up for debate.
I will not pretend someone was awesome when they weren’t because bullies want me to.
I refuse to bow down to these cowards. History is not up for debate. What we take from it is. I won’t deny facts I damn well know and remember to “fit in,” or be patriotic.
Bullies have a pattern. Obviously, a lot of folks don’t know it.
What happens when bullies take over is they want you to believe things publicly that are outrageous. If you don’t, you’re ostracized. Folks end up denying recent history just to hang with their bully buddies.
I don’t do bully buddies. You’ll have to find some other way to get to me.
You’re going to have to practice saying, “no.”
If you know Kirk was a jerk, Trump is a clown, ICE Barbie is a joke, Leavitt is a sycophant, on and on.. but you don’t say it? You might be being bullied. How do you escape? One thing is doing what I do, simply saying, “I refuse.”
You’re going to have to anyway, might as well get it over with. I refuse to put up with their bullshit. I refuse to acknowledge them as “leaders.” Nope, will not mourn their dead. Won’t be bullied into it. I don’t like violence. I wish it hadn’t happened. But I’m not sad about who it happened to. He was a Christian white nationalist asshole. Not sad about that. He was a superior douche. That’s fact. Whatever they say he was, they’re playing victim.
With no reality checks, you get no reality.
You can’t make something up that never happened and call that reality. It’s a lie. These folks in office love lies. Lying is one of their main tools. Even at Kirk’s reception, Trump stated, “I hate my opponent.” Tons of folks there, no one stated, “sir, you have no opponent.” That’s what bullies look like.
I refuse to be a part of those lies. Everyone knows who Kirk was and I know who Trump is and all this simply checks with Trump’s MO, not reality. I remember Kirk talking about the Civil Rights movement being a mistake. It’s not reality that he’s a saint now. All I need.
It’s about conflict, not violence. Everyone sucks at that.
I don’t see how we avoid some kind of conflict. I hope for nothing violent. But I also hope for conflict. I don’t appreciate how so many Americans just welcome the regime of lies and thievery because they’re afraid to stand up for other folks. I’m not. I love my friends. You pick a fight with them, you’re fighting me too.
Not an entertainer’s work, making law.
I think being American is a responsibility and folks are allergic to that if they’re entertained. It’s the shame of having entertainers in political positions. Taking political stances, fine. But Hollywood needs to cease being a training ground for politicians. The results have been disastrous. Since Reagan, maybe before, folks want to be entertained! That’s not politics’ job. Football, music, movies, are forms of entertainment.. politics is duty and service. Believe it or not, it goes well when it’s boring and not entertaining. But you’d be hard-pressed to get that out of a lot of politicians.
The old way that kept us safe is gone.
None of us are safe, do y’all realize that? All of our lives folks worked around the clock in all corners of the earth protecting us from things like disease, weather, war, etc.. that whole network is gone now. We’re basically just waiting for the next disaster. To me, that’s un-American. But if you love Kirk and Trump, business as usual.
I refuse to play along, to “like” evil people, to kiss ass, to be silent at parties. I will not be silent about it here. They are the bad guys. Not me. If you can’t see that, you need some mirror time. Not more news.
It’s simply dangerous for us all.
See, the thing is, it’s dangerous. All these lies, they’re extremely dangerous. Not only are we confused, but folks get hurt. There’s nothing good about the Trump regime’s lies. Lies seem to be his fans’ favorite part. I don’t know what you do about that except look at yourself and say “no more lies.” Start there, that’s what I did years ago when I wanted to stop lying.
