Fascism, what can I do to fight it?

The trump regime is a plague on the earth, fascist to the core.

I ask myself this question a lot. Let me tell you, it isn’t easy.

Not a fascist. Woody knew, we need more Woody Guthrie.

Look around.

I am working on free educational videos with college professors on things poor folks might not have learned growing up. Finances, filling out important forms, literacy, government (including fascism), and more. I am trying to get the local university on board with college-type  curriculum. It’s very tough. Seems like rich folks do not want this to happen. But I’m working towards it. I have to. In Spanish and English. For my town.

I play music and do this website for anyone who wants. I strongly feel any skill you have that can be used to motivate and educate is of paramount importance right now. Trying to live by that too, not just say it. Also, if you can facilitate relaxation and peace of mind, someone out there needs you. Guaranteed.

In music, I’ve always moved to a town and found holes in the music scene I was able to fill. This is similar to that. Look at what needs to be done, then figure out how to be on a team that does it. It’s usually a team. There’s lots of reasons, but more people know more people. It’s just easier with a team and their friends.

George Washington has become an interesting character in my lifetime the more i have learned about him. Didn’t have many friends, was probably up to no good in some ways, fearless warrior.

Do not “go with the flow.”

One of the easiest things to do is make fascism very uncool. Sure you might have to “come out” against the regime, but there’s freedom in doing what you know is right. Personally, I sleep better without worrying about whom I misled.

Oprah is garbage. I understand Dems need to win elections, but this hurt. It actually felt like fascism.

Dearest Democrats,

Some are clinging hard to the Democratic Party. I understand. I was a Democrat for years. If you want to save that party and salvage what’s left of it, cool. Just don’t go preaching about all the democrats on ballotpedia who vote alongside the GOP like they’re heroes. They ain’t. Fascism means one party. Just 1. It doesn’t matter what they call themselves.

Judgement is a serious issue that can hamper this kind of work. It’s important to meet folks where they’re at the best you can and not judge them. Once the judgy shit comes out, you’ve lost them.

This was a missed opportunity for Kamala to go prosecutor on trump’s ass and prove to the world he was insane. She didn’t do it and she knows how to. Why? Could she be a fascist too?

Concerning the election..

Many folks who tried to help Kamala Harris win did a particularly shitty job of it. I had questions about legitimate issues and was told numerous times, “shut up, vote blue.”  If that is your message, consider something else. It doesn’t work. In fact, I don’t really like democrats anymore after that election. It wasn’t even because of Trump. (Although maybe it was, 💰.)

No one can argue he’s got the talking part down, but according to ballotpedia, he doesn’t vote like he talks. Womp womp, dems, try again. No more fascists!

A politician’s job is to talk about things and vote accordingly. We do not have that.

Democrats voted for Trump’s cabinet. They voted for numerous GOP bills that hurt us. Many democrats out there think reasoning with fascists is a key to victory. As if they can be “turned.”

All that is very destructive thinking. It hurts everyone when a Democrat in office shakes hands and makes deals with fascists. Both “sides” of a deadly conflict shaking hands and working together for the good of fascism is only good for the fascists.

It’s hard to imagine getting anything done without being willing to volunteer. First thing, for me. Willingness to fight fascism is mandatory.

Reject fascism.

The main thing in my personal life I do to fight fascism is reject it, often publicly. I reject fascism as a viable form of government. It’s robbery and death, plain and simple.

Return to home.

My name is Kelly and I hate fascism.

A soothing performance, I hope.

Being Frank (Live)”. I enjoy recording live, big rooms, cool mics, performing, and hanging out with friends. I also enjoy the sound of folks playing together. It’s more fun than me in my music space putting everything together in the computer. Playing with folks who have a pulse is always a treat. Enjoy.

Being Frank, live. This song is free on our Bandcamp.
