Sometimes when folks speak, I hear music.
I am wanting to make a spoken word project and music based on the reading and mix the speaking with music. Whole album of it. I’m looking for folks that love music but may not have music ability or time for it. I’d like to capture their words and put them to music.
Any topic.
I’ve decided the subjects are going to be as diverse as the people. The common thread is the music made from speech patterns. It’s not the subject of the talks.
When folks talk about anything, I often hear music. Their voices go up and down to tiny rapid cadences. If you’re listening to the notes they don’t know they’re using, instead of the words, you might hear music. I’m pointing that out several times over a variety of subjects.
I know spoken word stuff isn’t popular, but thank the Christ I do not care. I wanna’ do it just to do it. I’ve discovered that’s a good reason, as good as any.

Got a few minutes talking in you?
I’d listen and consider folks from this site. Any topic, 5 mins and under. Hoping for decent quality but I bet you could get a phone with zoom sounding nice enough. Even voice memo. I’m looking for speech. Not music. I’m making the music based on the speaking. Cussing fine, protest is encouraged. Thoughts are essential. Email: [email protected].
Speeches, poetry, memoirs, stories, I’m even open to an interview if you have a short good one. No music. Just talking.

Speech is a complex sound pattern. I hear music in it.
I’m trying to make a record of speech, record. I want friends and family talking. I want to hear the music they don’t even know they’re making. If this sounds fun, hit me up.
My friends tend to make beautiful music and many don’t even know it. I intend to change that. Some of you talk beautifully. I’d like to hear it. Thanks.
I like making music. I think it’s as artsy as I get. Time to make some.
Return to home.
