A concept protest Djembe Funk album?
I have a great concept for an album that tells a story. I’ve been working on it. It’s hard, somewhat nebulous at this point, and takes a lot of planning, but I’m fucking doing it.
These projects lately hit me hard. Protest. Thinking about folks less fortunate. Thinking about the Trump regime too. I’ve got on my mind all the folks in my life that have a tendency to bitch about democrats when I bitch about Trump.
News flash, I don’t like either of them.
Folks, I’m not a Democrat either. However, they have 0 power. In fact, I bet a decent kick would take them out. Then we’d just have textbook fascism with one party everywhere. That’s what you’re telling me you want when I complain about the Trump regime. I might not like democrats too, but they’re not the problem right now. So there’s no need to shout back “well democrats..” this or that when I fuck with ICE or whatever other disgusting Trump regime item.
Do you understand democrats aren’t doing this? So why the “but democrats!” This is coming from a guy who doesn’t like democrats too. The democrats can’t hardly do anything, let alone get bills passed.
I have a friend I mentioned something about Charlie Kirk to, and I got “but democrats..”
Finish that thought, dude. Democrats what? Are racists? Christian Nationalists? They may not be perfect, sure. But they’re not the droids you’re looking for.
Whose side are you on? If you don’t pick a side, you work for nazis.
The fact is you sound like you’re working for nazis when other folks say MAGA, even folks like me who don’t like democrats. Why is that unless you’re working for the enemy?
I say enemy because I reject Christo-fascism. If you’re helping it come about, we’re enemies. Does that mean we shoot each other? No. But we are headed for conflict. Might want to beef up on recent political history before you come at me. I have a memory.

Folks don’t think about Christo-fascism because Trump doesn’t act like a Christian. Well, what if billionaire church folks donated mega bucks to his campaign because he’s unscrupulous enough to sell off parts of government or land to churches? Has anyone ever thought of this shit? I’m not on social media, don’t know. He’d sell anything or anyone, including you, your state..Churches in Texas want Church Country bad. I don’t. In fact, two Texas billionaire preachers each with their own churches and oil tycoon money helped Trump get elected. I guarantee they don’t hang out. It was business.
I’m tackling this on the concept album. I have some ideas down and I really like them already. There’s going to be vocals too. It’s not impossible to tell a story without saying anything, but this isn’t that kind of story.
Maybe try saying what you mean.
I wish folks would say what they mean and how they feel. I understand it’s not safe everywhere. But it’s safe around me. Are we friends or not?
Don’t tell me “but democrats..” Tell me you’re frightened. I am too. We can work from there. “But democrats..” is stupid with massive government crime going on by republicans. Democrats are simply watching it helplessly. That’s not a crime. But when they fuck up, I’ll be there.

Get with it.
Instead of “but democrats,” something like “holy fuck, you’re right!” That would be more appropriate. “But Democrats” really sounds elementary school playground when you ignore everything the republicans do just to say that. It’s out of touch, and completely wrong.
There’s always next time. You can do it. Believe it or not, I’m rooting for you. All hands on deck time. Looking for hands.

One thing the USA has been for a long time is maximumly complicated. Folks get popular with black and white philosophies that feel good and seem easy. It’s fantasy. The sheer size and dynamics of problems we face are immensely complex. It’s not a time to tune out. It’s time to get with it and it ain’t simple ..It requires homework. Good luck.🍀
